Spend Christmas at the Arlington Hotel
Our special Christmas package is based on a four night stay starting on 24 December. You are welcome to arrive earlier if you would prefer a longer stay – you can arrive from 21 December onwards.
Christmas Eve – 24th December
Our Christmas programme ‘officially’ starts on Christmas Eve – your bedroom will be ready from midday. During the afternoon we will serve tea and home-made mince pies. Relax and settle in for the rest of the day, take a bracing walk along the seafront or a last minute dash to the shops. To get you in the Christmas spirit we invite you to meet up with all the other guests and the hotel owners Sara and Bernard Uzzell for a pre-dinner drinks reception. After dinner there will be carols around the Christmas tree with the Salvation Army brass band.
If you are feeling peckish have a mince pie before you retire to bed to hang up your Christmas stocking!
Christmas Day – 25th December
Start the day with a traditional full English breakfast. We are expecting a visit from Father Christmas with a gift for everyone. Ho! Ho! Ho! Guess the weight of our fantastic home-made Christmas cake. We will also give you daily quizzes and puzzles to keep you alert! There are a number of Christmas Day Church services just a few minutes from the hotel or you could walk along the seafront to watch the annual ‘Spartan Swim’. At lunchtime we will serve a light lunch. In the afternoon relax and watch the Queen’s Speech with a cup of tea and a piece of our Christmas cake.
The highlight of the day is our special celebration Christmas dinner (which comprises four courses including traditional roast Dorset turkey with all the trimmings). Enjoy the spectacle of our chefs parading the flaming Christmas pudding!
Boxing Day – 26th December
Enjoy another hearty breakfast then ‘blow away the cobwebs’ with a refreshing walk. We will be serving a three course meal at lunchtime as there is a trip to the pantomime at the Pavilion Theatre in the evening. We will be offering afternoon tea with sandwiches and cakes before the coach collects everyone for the theatre trip. When you get back to the hotel after the performance there will be more sandwiches and snacks.
27th December
Enjoy your breakfast then get ready for the mystery coach trip. You will be collected from the hotel and taken on a guided tour with a coffee stop. You will be back at the hotel in time for lunch. In the afternoon there will be afternoon tea and cakes and in the evening the hotel owners Sara and Bernard will join everyone for a farewell dinner followed by prizes for the quizzes, a free raffle and Bernard’s quiz with something for everyone!
28th December
Make the most of your full English breakfast before you have to finish your packing. We will wish you a fond farewell and we hope you will have had a wonderful Christmas.
How to Book
The price of the 2013 four night Christmas package at the Arlington Hotel is £449.00 per person. You can extend your stay by adding extra nights.
When all the single bedrooms have been sold we may be able to offer a small double bedroom for single occupancy (with a supplement of 50%). To make a reservation please call the Arlington Hotel on 01202 554682. To confirm your reservation we request a nonrefundable deposit of 20% of the cost of the stay.
We will send you an invoice for the final balance which is due for payment on 1st December. In the event that you have to cancel your booking a cancellation charge will apply as follows:

We strongly recommend that you have insurance to protect you in the event of unforeseen cancellation. We can supply details of insurance which may be appropriate.
